Design doesn’t have to take precedence over function
Obviously the really interesting part of McClure & Butner is their amazing work and we spent a lot of time admiring their portfolio when we should have been just uploading it.
We wanted to create an easy to use gallery for their portfolio but this would need a bit of JavaScript / AJAX and the long and short of this means it wouldn’t be so easy for Google to index it. Fortunately, using the flexibility of MODX Revolution, we were able to create two views of each item in their portfolio, one view in the gallery and the second in the site map version which Google can index. So if a user is looking for Château de la Baude in Google the relevant page can still be found.
